Day 1 - Guwahati to Shillong 110 kms in 03 hrs drive
Morning after on arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative and drive towards Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’ is the capital city of Meghalaya. En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umiam Lake. Reaching Shillong after a 03 hours journey (approximately), we check-in at a city Hotel. Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 2 - Transfer to Jowai (Grand Canyons) 66 kms in 02 hrs
Morning after breakfast start full day excursion to Jowai, headquarter of Jaintia Hills along the Shillong – Silcher national high way. A picturesque town circled by majestic Myntduriver. Visit Krang Suri waterfall. On return back visit Laitlum “The Grand Canyon”. One of the most amazing and picturesque tourist destinations, perched atop the East Khasi Hills of Shillong is The Laitlum Canyons, which in literal sense means “The End of Hills” or “The End of The World”. Nestled in the embrace of majestic hills and valleys, The Laitlum Canyons in one such spot from where the vast, verdant and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya could be viewed and admired. Day 3 - Transfer to Dawki (Mawlynnong Sightseeing)
Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge. After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. it is a splendid drive of 45 kilometres passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot river, he Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Overnight stay at Dawki.
Day 4 - Transfer to Cherrapunjee 85 kms in 03 hrs drive
Today after breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of 1 ½ hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. Visit some places of Cherrapunjee like Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sister falls, Garden Of Cave. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Day 5 - At Cherrapunjee
Morning after breakfast visit Seven Sister Waterfall, Mawsmai Caves, Rama Krishna Mission, Eco Park, Dainthlen Fall, Arwah cave, Garden Of Cave, Dainthlen Falls & Nohkalikai Falls. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Day 6 - Cherrapunjee to Guwahati via Mawphlang Sacred Forest
After breakfast excursion to Mawphlang sacred forest (Guest needs to hire local guide on the spot). Mawphlang hosts a beautiful valley & thick forest grove supposedly protected by ancient spirits as the Khasi folklore saying goes. Nothing is allowed to be removed from the forest as it may upset the deity.(Approx 02 hrs trek between dense and refreshing forest would be an awesome experience). Later visit elephant Falls and returned back to Guwahati. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 7 - Guwahati Sightseeing
Early Morning visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Pethas in the country. Return back to hotel after breakfast visit Sri Shankardeva Kalakshetra-a cultural centre with a fine exposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam, Balaji Temple & Basistha Ashram. Evening River Cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra (Direct payment basis) and visit local market in Guwahati. Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 8 - Guwahati Airport drop
After breakfast check out from the hotel and Enjoy Brahmaputra Rope way on the River Brahmaputra (Direct payment basis). Later transfer to Guwahati Airport drop for the onward journey. End of services…
